Webinar | Gain Access to Federal Contracts with HUBZone [PTAC, Free]

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 10:00am to 11:00am

In light of recent events we have made changes to this training opportunity. This HUBZone workshop was scheduled as an intensive 3-hour session targeting Oakland and surrounding areas specifically. Since it would be difficult to manage such intensive training online, we’ve decided to offer this one-hour long HUBzone overview webinar, and reschedule an Oakland specific workshop in person later on this year (possibly in October).

Did you know the Federal Government mandates at least 3% of Small Business contracting dollars be awarded to certified HUBZone firms? Did you also know that often this goal goes unmet?

The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) certification is designed to help small businesses have a competitive advantage when bidding for government contracts. If your business is located in a HUBZone—Your business may be eligible for set aside HUB Zone contracts. View the SBA interactive HUBZone map HERE.

Attend this Webinar to learn:

  • Benefits and Regulations of the program
  • Changes to the HUBZone Program based on COVID 19
  • How to determine qualification
  • Overview of the application process

This workshop is facilitated by Christina Jones, Sr./ Lead Procurement Specialist, Norcal PTAC

To qualify for HUBZone Certification your business must be a Small Business located in a HUBZone and have at least 35% of your employees live in a HUBZone.
