Marketing Strategies for California SB & DVBE Certified Businesses

Marketing Strategies for California SB & DVBE Certified Businesses

Thursday, February 25, 2021 10:00am to 11:00am

California spends more than $10 billion a year on goods and services, with more than $3 billion being awarded to SB and DVBE certified .

There are 230+ state agencies and hundreds of buyers & decision makers responsible for buying the goods and services each agency needs. Some purchases between $5,000 and $249,999.99 are reserved for Small Business (SB)and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) certified businesses and are never advertised publicly. To win these contracts, you’ll need to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy to make yourself known to the state contract gatekeepers!

This webinar is designed to provide certified SB and DVBE businesses with tips on how to get their foot in the door with state contracts, specifically what to say and do to get the attention of state buyers and SB/DVBE advocates to win contracts.

Webinar Topics Include:

  • Best practices for marketing your business to win state contracts
  • Differences between SB and DVBE option and micro-purchases
  • Finding state buyers who use the SB/DVBE option
  • 2021 changes to the Emergency Purchasing Authority
