Oakland Unified School District Facilities Planning Department in partnership with Alameda County Public Works (ACPWA) is offering its Annual Construction Contractors' Academy FREE to all attendees!

This year's Academy will be held virtually to ensure the safety and security of our presenters and attendees. This 3-part series will take place from 10/14-10/28 and will break down all components of how to successfully bid a Public Works contract.

The third session will cover resources for participants to better position themselves to bid on public contracts.
Some topics covered will include:

  • Certifications - presented by Sheldon Jefferson, Luster National
  • Introduction to Alameda County's Contractor Technical Assistance Program-presented by Carol Henry, Merriwether and Williams
  • Important membership organizations for small, local contractors
  • Upcoming opportunities with other Alameda County public agencies:
    • General Services Agency
    • East Bay Municipal Utilities District
