Did you know that the State of California has goals to award 25% of their overall spend to Small Businesses (SBs) and 3% of their overall spend to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs)? Last year California spent $2.8 billion on goods and services from SBs and they are highly motivated to increase that this year.

Join us on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day and hear from SB/DVBE Advocates from the CA Dept. of Water Resources and CA Dept. of Parks and Recreation on their procurement needs. Will they buy from you next?

 

What is an SB/DVBE Advocate?

Each state agency and department with expenditures over $100,000 is required to appoint a person within their organization to serve as a Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SB/DVBE) Advocate.  SB/DVBE Advocates ensure that their organization creates set SB/DVBE program policies, and acts as a contact and resource person for small businesses wanting to sell to the state.
